Halloween is around the corner! This year, to make your 31st of October totally SPOOK-TACULAR, why not trying to spice your routine up with delicious pumpkin smoothies that are also great for your skin? 

Did you know that pumpkins are rich in vitamins A, B, C, E and K? That’s not all, pumpkins are also full of antioxidants which will help your body scavenge free radicals as well as slow the natural process of ageing. The zinc and potassium they contain will prevent redness from your skin which is always a good thing. 

And as you probably already know very well, apart from being a treat for your skin, it’s also and most of all a treat to your mouth! So enjoy and check these two pumpkin smoothies recipes. 

1/ Boost your natural autumn glow!

A silky and creamy smoothie that you’ll love if thick textures are to your liking. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 or 2 handfuls of fresh pumpkin
  • 1 banana
  • ½ lemon
  • Peanut or almond butter
  • For the topping, you can add almond chips or coconut sprinkles for example but it’s really up to you!

Instructions

First, slice your pumpkin after removing the skin and boil or steam it until it’s soft. It has to be cooked and pretty soft for your smoothie. 

Peel your banana. 

Then add everything in your blender and blend until you have a smooth creamy texture. Add a lil’ bit of oat milk if you want to go for a more liquid texture!

And that’s done! Pour into your favourite mug and add your topping. Appreciate it while looking by your window, take your time and savour this moment.


2/ Healthy skin smoothie to pamper yourself.

Definitely more liquid than the first one, it will energize your skin and help your body maintain a good balance. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 or 2 handfuls of fresh pumpkin
  • 5 tablespoons of oat milk 
  • 2 tablespoons of oat cream or goat yoghurt
  • 1 banana
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of honey
  • Add a cup of ice if you want it extra fresh!

Instructions

First, slice your pumpkin after removing the skin and boil or steam it until it’s soft. It has to bee cooked and pretty soft for your smoothie. 

Peel your banana. 

Then add everything in your blender and blend until it’s fully smooth. Drink this smoothie in the morning to replenish yourself and get a shot of powerful energy to go through your day.
